It is already confirmed that Huawei will be having a press launch dated Nov. 3. Speculations suggest that the tech maker will unveil a new flagship, the Mate 9.

This is welcome news to hardcore fans who have been waiting for the Mate 9 for some time now. Previously, it was rumored that the flagship will come out in September. With the press invites for Nov. 3 already out, fans will not have that long to wait to check out the latest premium flagship from Huawei.

Although Huawei has yet to come out with official details, supposed leaks on the specs and features of the Mate 9 spell out a top-tier flagship, and may be one of the top-of-the-like releases for 2016. It is already expected that Huawei will feature its latest Kirin 960 chipset in the flagship.

Meanwhile, a supposed marketing poster for the upcoming event lists three variants, making the Huawei Mate 9 a full lineup. The base model will have 4 GB of RAM, and it comes with either a 64- or 128-GB internal storage. Meanwhile, the third version is a premium Mate 9 phablet, with a massive 6 GB RAM and up to 256 GB of onboard storage.

In addition, leaks also supposedly confirm that the new flagship will feature a dual cam setup for its main shooter at the back. Interestingly, it is said that the setup will again be co-engineered by Leica, much as what Huawei had done with the current P9 flagship. It is unclear, however, if Huawei will install the same 12-MP dual camera from the P9 or make an entirely new Leica co-engineered setup for the Mate 9.

Other purported specs include an ultrafast fingerprint scanner, a 6.0-inch display, and the Android Nougat 7.0 right out of the box. According to pricing speculations, Huawei will put a price tag for the Mate 9 starting at roughly $479.
