U.S. fans of the Honor sub-brand from Huawei will be looking forward to checking out the new iterations for the lineup, as it is confirmed that they will be launched outside China.

It is confirmed that the new Huawei Honor Note 8 will eventually come out of its exclusivity for the Chinese market, and fans in the US will get to enjoy the new addition. While Huawei has yet to come out with specific roll out date and pricing details, the new additions are almost guaranteed to make it to U.S. soil – while Huawei itself has yet to penetrate the market, the Honor sub brand is gaining a steady following in the U.S. Meanwhile, it is expected that the new Honor Note 8 will be priced similar to its $422 tag in China.

The new Huawei Honor Note 8 is a step-up version of the recently-released Honor 8 series. However, although it comes out with a current-gen, octa-core Kirin 955 chipset, the new Honor Note iteration is still considered an above-average addition, since the flagship spot has already been taken by the major lineup, Huawei P9. However, although the Honor Note 8 is listed as a mid-range lineup, it still boasts of impressive, above-average specs.

Aside from the current-gen Kirin processor, the new Honor Note 8 also comes with 4GB of RAM, and there are three onboard storage options – 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB variants. All storage options are also expandable. It also features a massive 6.6-inch display and more than adequate, 4,500 mAh battery.

However, whereas the Huawei P9 boasts of flagship features in image capture, the Honor Note 8 only comes with an above-average setup for its main shooter and selfie camera, sporting 13MP and 8MP setups. Its fingerprint scanner is also a step-down version for the ultrasonic biometrics on Huawei's flagship.
