In its latest round of teasers, HTC takes a swipe at the recently released Huawei P9. According to the company, fans will see that its HTC 10 will be a notch higher than other flagships as its April 12 launch will reportedly reveal the "best-ever" camera.

A new video teaser posted by HTC boasted the upcoming HTC 10's image capture features, calling it "the best ever smartphone for shooting photos and videos." While HTC has regularly posted hints and teasers about the upcoming HTC 10, observers say that the recent video footage is a stab at the Huawei P9. The new flagship from Huawei was launched recently, and according to the company, one of its best-selling features is the dual-cam setup made in partnership with Leica.

As for the HTC 10, while the video teaser did showcase beautiful, artistic sample images taken with the new flagship, not much is known about how HTC will make the setup stand out from the rest of the recent flagships. According to rumors, HTC has gone back to the UltraPixel setup for the HTC 10, and reportedly, the assembly is the same one that is found on the Nexus 6P.

Meanwhile, according to Phandroid, one leaked detail about the HTC 10's upcoming camera is that it will be the first smartphone flagship to offer OIS on the front cam. Normally, the technology is only reserved for the main camera on the back. However, since selfie images are now a trend, HTC may have anticipated this development and made improvements and tweaks on the 10's front-cam setup.

HTC has only come out with hints and teasers for the new flagship but has not confirmed anything about the HTC 10's internals. According to rumors, since the new flagship will boast top-tier specs, it will feature a Snapdragon 820 processor paired with at least 4GB of RAM, a 5.1-inch or 5.2-inch screen with QHD resolution, and at least 32GB of onboard storage.
