It is said that HTC will be launching its newest flagship in a month's time. Inching closer to its reveal, more leaked photos of the upcoming HTC 10 continue to appear online.
A recent Twitter post by tech tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer showcases new images of the HTC 10. While the photos only highlight the front and back panels of the upcoming flagship, there are mixed reactions from commenters on the design of the upcoming iteration.
Most of the reactions centered on the physical buttons on the side, and fans even underscored HTC bringing back the capacitive touch buttons on its front panel. This is a deviation from the design of the lineup's predecessor, the One M9, which has on-screen buttons right on the display.
In addition, the fingerprint scanner on the new HTC 10 is featured on the front panel, between the capacitive buttons.
According to GSM Arena, the new images of the HTC 10 also highlight why the company decided to overhaul the sleek design of its One M series and featured large chamfered edges on the upcoming iteration. The industry observer stated that these tweaks give ergonomic advantages rather than design aesthetics. Large chamfers give the HTC 10 tapered edges, which in turn can make gripping the device more comfortable for the user.
While HTC has yet to provide details on the HTC 10, some fans already expect the upcoming device to have internals that rival recently released flagships, given the 10's flagship status. Speculations place the HTC 10 to have at least 4 GB of RAM, the new Snapdragon 820 chipset and a 5.15-inch Quad HD display. Meanwhile, it is also said that HTC overhauled the camera assembly for the upcoming flagship, bringing a 12MP UltraPixel main camera on the back.
Rumors say that HTC plans to unveil the HTC 10 on April 19.
