'House of Cards' season 3 spoilers: Frank Underwood to have new problems, Doug Stamper's return still undecided

There's not much spoilers going around for "House of Cards" Season 3. Nonetheless, filming is already under way. Show creator Beau Willimon finally got to share something about season 3's plot and the possible hurdles that Frank Underwood might face now that he is the most powerful man in the world.

"House of Cards" Season 3 is slated to return on 2015, which will consist of 13 episodes and downloadable via Netflix.

What will the third season have in store? Now that Frank is President of the United States, which was his ultimate goal for season 1 and 2, will the new season be about his downfall?

In an interview with Katie Couric, Willimon revealed that there will be "more philosophical turns" in season 3. This refers to Frank Underwood reaching his goal as being president. Willimon said that Frank may struggle to find his life purpose."What do you do when you're on top of it? Who are you? You can no longer say, 'I'm the guy trying to reach the summit. Now, it had to have meaning. It used to be that the meaning was getting there," Willimon shared. Frank not being sure of himself is definitely something new.

Meanwhile, Doug Stamper, Frank's advisor, has not been confirmed to be returning in the new season. In an interview with Huffington Post, Michael Kelly shared what he knows about his character. "I don't know -- they haven't officially said. And with television contracts, as an actor, when you sign those contracts you sign for a long time. So technically they still own me, but I don't know yet."

"House of Cards" is a Netflix original and it has come a long way for the network. It was recently nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series, which is actually the first time a digital TV series was nominated for.Watch out for "House of Cards" Season 3 on Netflix on February 2015.
