Harvey Weinstein news: More celebrities come forward

The controversy surrounding film producer, Harvey Weinstein has been escalating since he was accused of sexual harassment. More Hollywood celebrities and other entertainment personalities have come forward.

British model and actress, Cara Delevingne, took to Instagram last Oct. 10, Wednesday to publicly speak up about an encounter she had with the film producer. Delevingne also had a conversation with the Huffington Post, wherein she detailed the specifics of the encounter. Weinstein had once attempted to kiss her in a hotel and even threatened Delevingne's career by using her sexual orientation against her.

Delevingne is one of the latest stars to come forward after other big celebrities had spoken up. According to Independent, actress Gwyneth Paltrow stated that she was sexually harassed when she was starting out in the business at the age of 22. Angelina Jolie had a very similar experience. During the late 90s, Jolie reported that she received some advances from Weinstein.

Jolie swore that she would never work for Weinstein again and tried to warn other stars about him. Now that more celebrities have banded together against Weinstein, E News has stated that his reputation "may never recover." The timeline of the allegations against Weinstein have spanned for an estimated 30 years, and he has been successful in keeping the controversy under wraps by paying people off to keep quiet.

However, 30 years is still a long time, even for a man such as Weinstein to be able to just get away with these allegations. The Herald Sun stated that Weinstein relied on the celebrities' desire to become rich and famous. As it turns out, paying off people to keep quiet and taking advantage of people's dreams can only protect him for so long. After it is all said and done, a ruined reputation the end of his career could be the least of his problems.
