'GTA Online' news: VIP Bonuses Week until Feb 11

 Rockstar Games Newswire

The current week is shaping up to be a good one for hardcore players of "Grand Theft Auto Online" as developer Rockstar Games has once again introduced a double-rewards week for missions and unlocked a number of bonus items.

Dubbed the "VIP Bonuses Week," the promo is currently running on "GTA Online," particularly for those who are already into the game's latest mission DLC, "Executives and Other Criminals."

An announcement on Rockstar Games' Newswire listed the different perks that players can receive this week. As with previous rewards events, on top of the listed bonuses are double reputation points and in-game cash rewards for players, this time for all VIP work and challenges on "GTA Online."

The ongoing deal also lowered the in-game dollar requirement for a player to become a VIP, so gamers who log in for this week can have a higher chance of being a VIP in the "Executives and Other Criminals" DLC. The regular show money for a VIP treatment is at least $1 million; for this week , the requirement is lowered to $500,000.

Once a VIP, the player can then set up an organization that caters to other VIPS such as employing other players as bodyguards, as well as unlocking some exclusive items, weapons, vehicles, and properties.

Aside from lowering the cash requirements in VIP applications, the "VIP Bonuses Week" event also unlocks cash discounts for different in-game items, with as much as 25 percent off on purchases in all the lineups for executive cars and helicopters. Meanwhile, a 10th of the regular price will also be given as discount for sailboats and yachts, as well as for the customizations of sea-bound transports.

The "VIP Bonuses Week" event will end for "Grand Theft Auto Online" players on Thursday, Feb. 11.
