'GTA Online' DLC, updates: 'High Life Week' event underway in 'GTA Online'

 Rockstar Games Newswire

Rockstar Games continues to update its "Grand Theft Auto" franchise with new content and in-game events. The latest one is currently on-going and will end later this week.

Dubbed as the "High Life Week," the on-going event started last weekend, April 22 and will last until April 28, Thursday. In the announcement posted on the Rockstar Games Newswire, the new in-game event is a celebration of two new maps for "GTA Online" players. The new maps are part of the "Inch by Inch" playlist for online gameplay, and "You'll be fighting tooth and nail amongst the muck and hay bales at the Grapeseed Cow Farm in Inch By Inch III or setting up security checkpoints for low flying bag carriers entering your end zone's airspace at LSIA in Inch By Inch IV."

As part of the week-long event, the "High Life Week" offers double the rewards for in-game missions, and players can get twice the RP and in-game cash when they complete specific day playlists. Missions range from simple races to team death matches.

Meanwhile, players who want to expand their properties and inventories also have the chance to accumulate in-game assets. During the "High Life Week" event, "GTA Online" properties like stilt and pent houses have as much as 25% discount off their regular price tags. Different vehicles like yachts also have at least 20% discounts, and additional savings for yacht customization is also available. Weapons like the bullpup rifle also get slashed-off prices, with different stocks at Ammu-Nation also getting some choice discounts.

"GTA Online" keeps on getting week-long events as part of game expansion. However, some of the fans are already asking Rockstar Games on when they can follow-up with a proper DLC. Rumored expansion content focus on the much-awaited "Casino" DLC, where players expect casinos and gambling places to finally open up in Los Santos, with real-world games like poker and slot machines.
