'GTA 5 Online' 'Cunning Stunts' DLC goes live; features 16 new Stunt Race events

 Rockstar Games Newswire

Rockstar Games has dropped another major content update in the online multiplayer feature of "Grand Theft Auto V." The new DLC, "Cunning Stunts," is now live for "GTA Online" players.

The new content pack features a series of 16 new Stunt Race events that will have players try to out-do and out-maneuver each other on winding tubular tracks, technical courses, and desert tracks all around Los Santos and neighboring boroughs. Rockstar Games puts the new update as something that players haven't encountered yet on "GTA Online," as the developers say, "This is unlike anything you've seen before: tracks coiling up into the sky, skyscraper jumps, turbo-boosted corkscrews at 20,000 feet... and that's before you get to the giant bowling pins and the rings of fire."

To celebrate to new content, Rockstar Games also announced that a series of timed exclusive will also be unlocked for players. Currently on-going, Premium Races events have daily missions in which players can take on seven other racers and get triple reputation points for the games. This weekend, the schedules are "Vinewood Downhill (Motorcycles)" for July 15; "Racing Alley (Sports)" for Saturday; and "Canyon Crossing (Super)" for Sunday. The Premium Races events will culminate on Monday, July 18th for "Turbine (Off-road)" race.

Aside from the Premium Races events, there are also event week bonuses for players that ends on July 18, with discounts and in-game item bonuses for logged on players.

The new "Cunning Stunts" DLC also prepares players for the Stunt Race Creator, a new in-game app for players to create and tweak stunt-related themes and items in "GTA Online." The new mode will release on August 2.

The new content, while unlocking a new feature, also brings new updates to the vehicles, gears, weapons, and clothing for "GTA Online" players. There are at least 13 new vehicles available for players, racing-themed clothing, and updates on different in-game items.
