'Grimm' season 4 premiere date nears; New cast, new characters, new Wesens

What will happen in the latest season of NBC Supernatural cop-drama? Facebook

"Grimm" season 4 will premiere a week from now. And it's not like "Grimm" fans were left all these months to wonder what would happen in the fourth season — there were constant updates and spoilers to keep them yearning for what's ahead.

Season 4 will have a bunch of new things for fans. For one, the pilot episode is entitled "Thanks for the Memories."  And for another, there will be new cast members joining the show. First is Toni Trucks who will play Deputy Janelle Farris. She will be a sheriff who will help Nick with the investigation of a highway crime.

The other new cast member is Erick Avari from "The Mentalist," and he will play the role of a salvage-yard owner. Nick will take interest in his character's business, especially because of the ongoing investigation of highway disappearances.

Other spoilers for season 4 include a photo of Nick's girlfriend, Juliette Silverton, staring at the floor. She looks startled, but why? There is another photo that shows Jennifer talking to Trubel the drifter.

But what's probably the most interesting part of the season is the line of new Wesens. There will be four of them joining the show. These Wesens will cause trouble in Portland, and only Grimms can identify them and take them down.

Entertainment Weekly shows the photos of the different creatures. There is a part-man/part-octupus Wesen.  Its power is to remove memories from its victim's brain. The Wesen uses its tentacles to do it. There's also a demon beast Wesen that will be the most ruthless and selfish of all.

Furthermore, Breathecast reports that Season 4 will show if Captain Renard survives the gunshot as well as if Nick will get his powers back. The site also points out that Sergeant Drew Wu could play a pivotal role in Season 4 as he discovers Nick's secrets and will be unsure what to do with them.

"Grimm" season 4 airs on Oct. 24, 9 p.m. on NBC.
