In the mid-season finale of "Grimm," a mysterious figure appeared to save Nick (David Giuntoli) from the Black Claw uprising. When the figure stepped out of the shadows, Nick saw that she looked a lot like Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) and he whispered her name as he gazed at the new arrival in disbelief.

In the season 4 finale of the hit NBC show, Juliette was killed by Trubel, and Nick grieved for her as well as for his mother. While Juliette is truly dead, Tulloch is back as Eve, a woman who works with Hadrian's Wall.

Speaking with TVLine, the actress said that since the season 4 finale, she has known she was going to be back on the show as Eve.

"Conveniently enough, since David Giuntoli is also my real-life boyfriend, a lot of people assumed that the reason I was still in Portland is because I'm dating him," said Tulloch, adding that she was still on the location of the series because she is still a regular on "Grimm."

To prepare for the role, Tulloch said that she started working with a trainer in order to achieve the warrior-like physicality of Eve. The actress revealed that while Eve may resemble Juliette in many ways, the two are completely different women.

"She's almost robotic," said Tulloch of her new alter ego. "It's not so much that she's ruthless, it's that she's very calculated and all she's focused on is getting the job done." And because Eve and Juliette share the same DNA, the actress said that Eve will be learning to control Juliette's Hexenbeist skills.

As for the other characters, they will likely be confused when they encounter Eve, especially Nick. Tulloch revealed that there will be a "pivotal scene" that will involve Nick and Eve wherein they sit down to talk about what is going on when the show returns next year.

"Grimm" returns on Jan. 29 on NBC.
