'Grand Theft Auto Online' updates: Lowriders Custom Classics Week to last until March 24

 Rockstar Games Newswire

To celebrate a new DLC pack coming out, Rockstar Games is currently holding a special in-game event for "GTA Online" players.

Dubbed Lowriders Custom Classics Week, the event will last until March 24. In "GTA Online," players will have the chance to score double the rewards points, in-game cash and reputation when completing DLC-related missions.

In their announcement on the Rockstar Games Newswire, the developer listed missions such as the "Land Races" playlist, "Keep the Pace," "Relay," and "Offense Defense" as some of the quests in which the players will get double reward points. These missions can also be replayed indefinitely so players can accumulate more in-game cash and reputations points.

Meanwhile, as with any in-game event, items are also up for sale for players in "GTA Online" until March 24. The new vehicles in the "Lowriders" collection like the newly unlocked Vapid Slamvan Custom, Dundreary Virgo Classic, and the Willard Faction Custom Donk will come with discounts. In addition, properties such as 10-car garages come with as much as 25 percent off their price tags.

Other in-game vehicles like motorbikes, as well as custom items like bobbleheads shift levers, also come with 25 to 75 percent off their regular prices.

Also, for players to enjoy the release of the new "Lowriders Custom Classics" DLC, shotgun and rifle ammunition are also available for half their original prices. This is part of the celebrations for the roll-out of the new Compact Rifle and Double Barrel Shotgun, the new weapons that came out with the expansion.

Lowriders Custom Classics is the latest DLC to roll out for "GTA Online." While it is a welcome expansion for players, some fans were expecting a different expansion altogether, one that unlocks features instead of adding new items in-game. Fans' wishlist for future expansions include a "Casino" DLC, where players will be able to enter gambling dens and play casino games with real-world rules.
