'GTA Online' news: Executives and Other Criminals DLC

Hardcore fans of "GTA Online," the online multiplayer version of "Grand Theft Auto V," are in for a treat next week as developer Rockstar Games has announced an upcoming DLC.

Expanding the content even more, Rockstar Games will roll out the all-new Executives and Other Criminals DLC on Dec. 15. According to an official announcement on Rockstar Games' Newswire, the upcoming DLC will greatly expand content, unlocking new gameplay modes and tweaking existing ones.

The DLC will allow players to co-opt others to make an illegal organization of their own. Players who are into these organizations will then be given VIP status, with access to co-opt jobs, challenges, and skills/abilities. Meanwhile, those co-opted will become the official musclemen hired by the VIP organization. Guarding and doing odd jobs for the organization will become their chore and will be compensated for through regular paychecks, Reputation points, extra "GTA" dollars, and different boosts in stats.

In addition to managing the organization, the VIP will also have access to purchasing different luxury properties around Los Santos. Unlocked locations include stilt houses on Vineyard Hills and other customizable apartments. Luxury items and vehicles will also be unlocked, such as a fully staffed and upgradeable Super Yacht.

However, as Rockstar Games announced previously, the DLC will only be available for current-gen platforms and will arrive on Dec. 15 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

To celebrate the upcoming expansion, Rockstar Games opened up a new event, currently ongoing this weekend. Players who log on to "GTA Online" and play online Adversary Modes will get instant rewards, and the event also covers the newly launched, four-player showdown Every Bullet Counts mission. Players who complete missions will get double the reputation points and in-game dollar rewards.

The event started Friday, Dec. 11, and will last until Sunday, Dec. 13.
