Engaged to be married couple George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are rumored to have started looking for a wedding venue already. What's on top of their list? Italy, of course!

Italy is know to be a very romantic place and many exchange wedding vows here. But this is not the reason why Clooney and Alamuddin may tie the knot there. Clooney has a beautiful villa on Lake Como, and it's perfect as a private wedding venue.

According to E! News, the couple was already spotted visiting different wedding locations in Italy. Even Alamuddin's mother Baria Alamuddin joined the two over the weekend, reports Express UK. Clooney welcomed Baria in his £25 million villa at Lake Como. Eyewitnesses say that the couple and the soon-to-be mother-in-law had a wonderful time. A local said, "Amal and her mum were smiling, it was going pretty great." But even before Baria's arrival, the couple had been already very sweet together during their Italian trip.

A week after they arrived at Villa Oleandro, fans already caught up on Clooney and his fiancee's presence in Lake Como. They visited Clooney's home and took photos. However, Mayor Roberto Pozzi shared with E! News that this could be an invasion of privacy for Clooney, saying "In terms of lake navigation, it is banned to navigate beyond a 100 meter vicinity to the properties, and boats are not permitted to station in that area. This is to guarantee security and privacy for Clooney. These exceptional security measures have been recently reiterated, and are valid throughout 2014."

So what if the wedding takes place there? Can the police handle the privacy and security of the event? Pozzi explained, "If they do decide to take their wedding vows here, we will evaluate all additional security and privacy measures that can be implemented."

The mayor also shared his sentiments about Clooney getting married at Villa Oleandro. He does hope that the couple chooses to wed there. "We are very conscious of the beautiful tie that Clooney has with the town of Lario, and the sentiment goes both ways, and has been strong on our part for some 10 years now. Should they decide to take their wedding vows here in Laglio, it would be the crowning of a privileged relationship between Clooney and this town."

Clooney and Alamuddin may have found the perfect place already. Watch out for wedding bells in Lake Como soon.
