Spoilers for the Jan. 8 to 12 week of the ABC soap opera television show "General Hospital" are set to be riveting with the enigmatic villain Cesar Faison played by Anders Hove, endangering the interests of the people in the town of Port Charles. The characters will take it upon themselves to make sure that they get to the man before something terrible happens, which is what Faison is known for in the series.

Nathan, who is played by Ryan Paevey, will be teaming up with Maxie, played by Kirsten Storms, will have to come to terms with the news that Faison is back in town -- probably planning something evil in his wake. Simultaneously, Jason, played by Steve Burton, and Spinelli, played by Bradford Anderson, will be taking the initiative in piecing the information together in order to make sure that they expose the elusive Faison and his plans.

However, it is safe to assume that finding Faison is much easier said than done. Although Jason and Spinelli will try their best to reach their goal, Sonny, who is played by Maurice Benard, will find the evil man on his own, but while keeping a close eye on the developments of Spinelli and Jason.

The most logical and easiest approach would be to find out about the true identity of Faison's second son, who may just be the missing link that would lead them to Faison. However, it is still possible that Faison may not have had a second child after all, and could be a misleading hunch that the characters are aimlessly chasing.

It is possible that the whole mystery could be solved some time in February, but new plot developments will rise by the end of next week. In fact, Spinelli is about to uncover some big news regarding Faison by next week.

These details come just after Jason finds out about Peter's true identity, played by Wes Ramsey. Peter turns out to be Faison's son, but he plans on destroying his own father once and for all.

"General Hospital" airs weekdays at 2 p.m. EST on ABC.
