The spin-off game from the "Five Night's at Freddy's" franchise gets its second update.

In an announcement posted on GameJolt, the new update expands the content for the role-playing game, "Five Nights at Freddy's World." However, the announcement also revealed that the update itself will not unlock the extra content, as there are special requirements to be met in order to get the bonus content.

The post continued, "To access the new content in Update 2, you must have beaten the game on either Normal or Hard mode. Enter the grey house in area 1 by holding up against its door; talk to Fredbear after you leave; then enter the portal."

Meanwhile, although the requirements and steps on unlocking the extra content are posted, some players seem to have difficulties in accessing the game, asking developer Scott Cawthon for help directly. On the Steam page for the game, Cawthon answered that for him, the requirement for the extra content is only beating game, and game saves from before the update can still be loaded and used to access the new content.

Cawthon wrote, "I thought a lot about this: how to "unlock" update 2. I finally decided that simply beating the game is all you will need to do, on either normal mode or hard mode. And yes, saved games that have already beaten the game still count."

A new update for the game is welcome news for players of the title. When "Five Nights at Freddy's World" was launched the first time, Cawthon had to roll back its release because of gameplay and system problems.

Meanwhile, another upcoming game in the series is also gearing up for a fall debut this year. "Sister Location" is said to be a sequel to the main "Five Nights at Freddy's" story line. The game has released its first trailer with general teasers on the title. Although the video says that the game is scheduled to be released sometime this fall, some hardcore fans believe that Cawthon may yet again surprise fans and release the game much earlier than scheduled.
