Fingerlings are one of the most sought-after toys this year, and with its popularity came massive demand. While the toys usually went out of stock because of the Black Friday shopping rush, Amazon keeps plenty of the Fingerlings for sale on their online store.

The toys come in several variants and each can be differentiated mainly by its color. Kiki is the purple-colored one. Rose is colored pink and Sugar is with white glitter.

However, it seems that Amazon is selling the toys one variant at a time. Currently available is Zoe, a turquoise-colored Fingerling with purple hair. The prices range from $26 to $55.

Fingerlings are created by toy manufacturer WowWee, and it proved to be one of their most successful products in 2017. Because of the massive demand quickly depleting the stock, it has been reported that there are prospective buyers and customers all over WowWee's Facebook page asking about where to get the toy.

The success of the Fingerlings owes much to its design. The toys feature over 40 sound effects and animations that they perform while clinging to the owner's fingers. The idea was to create unique toys that will serve as "wearable companions," and was inspired by videos on social media that showed pygmy monkeys and marmosets. WowWee thought that it would be nice to create companions based on the movement of these creatures.

The core of the toys is what the manufacturer calls "Smart Tech." They claim that this technology makes the Fingerlings into "true companions" because each has their own unique personality.

Because of the popularity of the toys, sites have been trying to ride on its success. There were reports of fake Fingerlings being sold on big sites.

WowWee is aware of how in-demand Fingerlings are this season. They have been working close with retailers to ensure that they have enough authentic stock available for the holidays.
