In a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con 2016, "Fear the Walking Dead" revealed a new trailer for the second half of the second season.

In the last aired episode, the group scattered to different directions. Nick decided to go on his own because of his resentment to his mother Madison, who was together with Alicia and Victor. Travis and Chris were also separated after they decided to not come back with the group.

The teaser trailer for the second half showed Nick heading for Tijuana, Mexico while disguising himself as a walker. Along the way he met some gang members and a community where they perform some sort of sacrifice of a person to be eaten by the walkers. He also met a doctor tending to his wounds. The doctor said to him that death should not be feared, but should also not be pursued.

Executive producer Dave Erickson told the fans, " We're going to see a level of violence and intensity in the second half that we haven't seen before. They understand there's no turning back."

Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd also backs this claim and told the crowd, "We're really going to see a lot of things that you probably have never seen on television before." Fans can expect a more violent and gruesome episodes than the first half of the season.

According in an article by EW, the show has introduced Danay Garcia of "Prison Break" who will play the character Luciana. She is part of the community that Nick found. Regarding her role in the series, Erickson said, "Nick meets this group of people who ... don't see the dead as a bad thing necessarily. And Luciana is this sort of badass soldier in this group. The two of them, they form a bond."

"Fear the Walking Dead" will air on August 21 at 9pm on AMC.
