Ed Sheeran reveals inspiration for song 'Perfect'

British singer and songwriter, Ed Sheeran, has been able to consistently come up with chart topping hits. In a recent interview, the soft-spoken singer revealed the source of inspiration for his song "Perfect," who happens to be his girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn.

The information was confirmed in an interview that Sheeran had with Radio.com. The usually private singer had expressed that he is currently happy with the setup that he has with his girlfriend. Sheeran stated, "I like the situation I'm in at the moment, it's pretty great," giving audiences an insightful look at his personal life. He also stated that he never doubted getting into the relationship with Seaborn whom Sheeran had known since high school.

According to Anti Music, the song had been conceived after James Blunt's house party. Blunt is Sheeran's close friend and fellow hit maker. Sheeran also mentioned that he had always thought that he would end up with somebody from the entertainment business. However, it appears that he is not the type who would date celebrities, since he calls himself a "hometown boy."

Aside from sharing his inspiration for his hit song, Sheeran is delivering acts of kindness. Stuff reported that Sheeran sent a personal message to his fan from New Zealand who is battling terminal cancer. The name of the fan is Brooke Hunter, who was smitten by Sheeran's message. Sheeran let her know that he kept her in his mind, and that he sends all his love to her.

Sheeran is still busy performing his hits while on tour. Most recently, The Lantern reported that Sheeran was successful in getting the crowd to enjoy his show at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. It is pretty clear that there is no stopping the singer at this point in his career, since he clearly loves performing his beloved songs in front of his loyal fans.
