The Duggar family from TLC's "Counting On" are a pretty conservative bunch and there are all kinds of rules, such as for example, the girls are not allowed to wear jeans or dresses that are cut above the knee. They are also not allowed to wear revealing or tight-fitting clothes.

There are a lot of wardrobe choices that the Duggars frown upon, so when Jill Duggar, wife of Derick Dillard, was seen sporting a nose ring, fans were caught off guard, reports E! News.

The 26-year-old mom to Israel David and Samuel posted a selfie on Instagram (@jillmdillard) which showed off her nose bling. She was poking fun of her washing room blunder, as she captioned the post: "When you are switching laundry from the washer to the dryer and realize you forgot to put laundry soap in the load you just 'washed'!"

However, fans immediately zeroed in on her accessory. Most of the comments were positive, with fans thrilled to see the Duggar girls expressing their individuality and breaking free from Jim Bob and Michelle's strict upbringing.

"The nose ring looks adorable on you! I love that you are branching out and being unique. Go Jill!" a fan wrote. Another added, "I love the piercing, Jill, nice going out of the normal zone where you're the only sugar sister with a nose ring."

On the other hand, there were some who reprimanded Jill for "sinning" with the nose ring. Some even posted mean comments about her appearance. But several fans were quick to come to her defense and encouraged the reality star to rock her nose ring.

"Jill don't listen to judgmental people. You're a wonderful woman of God with beautiful children. God bless!" a kind woman wrote. "Jill! You are wearing pants and have a nose ring! Welcome to being a strong woman with the freedom to make your own choices!" another person commented.
