Drake has been keeping mum about the release date of his much-anticipated album, "Views From the 6" and fans are wondering if the rapper's new album will be released this year. While Drake is staying silent about the album's debut, this weekend, he released a snippet of a new track on social media, and it left his fans wanting more.

According to NME, the rapper shared a six-second clip of a new track on Vine as he finishes work on the new studio record. The website reports that Drake previously revealed that he will be heading back into the studio to finish the new album while performing at Austin City's Limits Festival.

Not much is known about the record, but it is rumored to feature collaborations with other artists such as Beyonce, Tinashe, and Willow Smith. Recently, Timbaland spoke with Vulture's Erik Parker and teased that he might be on Drake's album.

When asked if he is on "Views From the 6," Timbaland replied, "I could be." Parker said that it sounded like a yes to him, but the rapper laughed and said that it would be better if he asked Drake about it.

"I don't know, who knows. Ask him, he might tell you," Timbaland said.

Timbaland had only good words to say about the "Hotline Bling" hitmaker and said that he's doing "a good job."

"I look at him like he could be related to me because he's part of music," said Timbaland. "That boy's doing a good job. You can't compete with Drake because he got it."

This year, Drake released his mixtape of "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" and a joint album with Future titled "What a Time to Be Alive."

Meanwhile, Billboard reports that a mysterious teaser posted on the Daily Rap's Twitter account appears to hint that the album might be making its debut soon. According to the post, "Views From the 6" might make its online debut on Jan. 6, 2016.
