The saga of the Z warriors continues in "Dragon Ball Super." In the new series, future Trunks has once again used a time machine to travel back in time, ostensibly to ask for help in battling an evil Goku. Goku Black, as he is called, tracks future Trunks back in time, with an inevitable clash with Goku looming.

Though episode 50 has already aired in Japan, it might be some time before fans see it via a global release, particularly those who are not fond of watching the raws. The new episode continues where last week's chapter left off, as Goku Black tracks future Trunks back in time, and meets Goku for the first time.

At first, future Trunks wants to fight Goku Black, but Vegeta stops him by saying he is not strong enough. The two Gokus then have a fight, though it is unresolved since Goku Black is forced to go back to his own timeline.

Noticing the ring on Goku Black's finger, Whis explains that it is a Ring of Time, and only a Kaoishin should have one. However, since Goku Black is not a Kaoshin, the mystery remains as to who Goku Black really is.

Meanwhile, before Goku Black is forced to go back, he manages to destroy the time machine that future Trunks used, with the Z warrior despairing on how he can go back in his own timeline now that the device is wrecked. He tries asking for the God of Destruction's help, but Beerus and Whis say that it is forbidden for the gods to tamper with time.

However, Bulma saves the day by having a new device capsule, which turns out to be another time machine. The episode then closes with future Mai seemingly still alive.

Though the episode has left many questions, one hint for hardcore fans is that the other time machine from Bulma seems to be an old one, which suggests that it may be the one that future Trunks used during the Cell saga, which bridges the current "Dragon Ball Super" series with the original "Dragonball Z" timeline.
