The upcoming game, "Dishonored 2," is on track for its scheduled Nov. 11 release, as developer Bethesda confirms that the game has gone gold.

In its official announcement, the developer also listed the staggered pre-loading schedules for the game. Although it is a simultaneous release, it is expected that Xbox One players will get the first glimpse of the title, as the preloading for the console has already begun. Meanwhile, the game will preload for the PC via Steam, as well as PS4 and PS4 Pro, on Nov. 8.

Bethesda has also revealed that a day one patch is also needed before players can get full access to the game.

Meanwhile, although "Dishonored 2" serves as a direct sequel to the original 2012 hit game, and shares similar features, gameplay, and design, Bethesda assures plans that there are still plenty of surprises in the upcoming game.

One noted feature of the game is the double main protagonists. Although there is a single story, players can select which path to choose between returning main character, Corvo Attano, or the empress, Emily Kaldwin. Director Harvey Smith is particularly proud of what Bethesda has achieved with getting Emily as one of the main characters for the sequel.

In a previous interview, Harvey said that the character design for Emily is on par with Corvo, and there is even unique gameplay that makes her a worthy character to play, like multiple skills in single attacks. Smith elaborates, "She just assassinates it. And all three of the other guys drop. We had no idea this was possible, we never planned this. It's just one of those systemic game mechanic interactions that clever, creative players figure out as they start to experiment."

Bethesda has also showcased Emily's unique gameplay with her own character trailer, although a similar gameplay footage has also been reserved for the other main character, Corvo Attano.
