Developer CD Projekt RED has just recently revealed a new way of playing the card game that they became famous for in "The Witcher" series. Instead of manually building decks, the new game mode will be in the form of a draft-mode. Players ultimately will have to beat Gaunter O'Dimm, also known as "the Man of Glass."

The new mode generally gives players more freedom with their decks as all the cards are now on the same level. This means that players can get cards regardless of faction, duplicates, rarities and premiums. To get a chance to fight the Man of Glass, they would have to pay either $2 real money or 150 ore.

The mode will have a total of nine contracts. However, it can also end earlier if the player dies three times. The lowest price players can get is one Keg but prizes will obviously be greater the better the performance. They can even get the chance to get a random premium Legendary card if they win all nine battles.

This is not exactly available to everyone yet as the game mode is still being tested. A lot of changes may still happen, and based on how the gameplay turns out, there may be things that are likely to change. The mode itself is quite interesting seeing how it disregards the usual strategy of card synergy and instead puts more emphasis on high-value cards.

In other news, "Gwent Arena" has recently revealed a new Faction Challenge declaring the battle between the Skellige and Scoia'tael Elven commandos. Players pick a faction and help their faction win by playing and, of course, winning their games.

As for when the draft mode will be out, it should not be long before CD Projekt RED releases more details about it.
