'Destiny' patch 1.2.0 now live; patch notes

Bungie has released the patch notes for the recently-released patch 1.2.0 for their space shooter title, "Destiny." This update is touted to be the last one prior to the release of the game's second expansion, "House of Wolves."

According to the patch notes, minor improvements and gameplay tweaks were made in the latest patch update. Bungie also lists new fixes on bugs and glitches on weapons, user interface, and gameplay.

For the weapons, the new updates fix a glitch on the Vex Mythoclast weapon, where it previously spawned without its primary ammo. Additionally, the Hive Disruptor perk now appears together with the Black Hammer perk set.

Additionally, the Hive Disruptor perk now also works correctly in terms of sustained damage events. Both the Hive and Oracle Disruptor perks now trigger much more often than on previous updates, but sustained damage is decreased in the Hive Disruptor.

The Phantom Gift and White Nail perks are now uninterrupted. Bonus damage from other perks such as the Hive Disruptor or Explosive Rounds will still make the perk count continue, and three precise hits within the countdown will now trigger the refund bonus.

Aside from weapon updates, the new patch also made changes to the player's interface in-game. For the player inventory, there will now be a gold number displayed when an item in the player's inventory reaches the maximum number.

Additionally, for players who always interact with NPCs, particularly vendors, the interaction panel now houses Quest chains, and has been improved over-all with smoother animations.

Bungie also listed on its official blog the expected changes once the "House of Wolves" rolls out on May 19. Dubbed as patch 1.2.0.1, the update will focus on gameplay changes and improvements for the PvP gameplay of "Destiny." Changes will include additional improvements to the Iron Banner event, Tower upgrades, and the addition of a "Connection Recovery" system.
