After last week's double elimination, only 11 couples head to Week 3 of "Dancing with the Stars" season 21. Tonight and tomorrow's episodes will be all about the music in television, with the contestants grooving to notable songs that convoy the classic and modern series favorites in the small screen.
The pairs were assigned to soundtrack of both old and new television shows. Some selections will completely require competitors to go out of character to pull the routines off while other picks seem to suit their age. Here is the rundown of all the couples and their respective assignments:
- Andy Grammer and Allison Holker: American Bandstand
- Alexa PenaVega and Mark Ballas: Breaking Bad
- Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess: Downton Abbey
- Tamar Braxton and Val Chmerkovskiy: Mad Men
- Paula Deen and Louis van Amstel: Gilligan's Island
- Kim Zolciak and Tony Dovolani: I Dream of Jeannie
- Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold: True Blood
- Hayes Grier and Emma Slater: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
- Gary Busey and Anna Trebunskaya: The Addams Family
- Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson: The Golden Girls
- Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough: The Jeffersons
"Dancing with the Stars" season 21 Week 3 will also see season 19 Mirror Ball Trophy winner Alfonso Ribiero serve as a guest judge. He will also be back on the "DWTS" stage to promote "America's Funniest Home Videos," which he will be hosting from now on.
Speaking of promotions, fans can also expect more of that from the adorable posse from "The Muppets" with Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and the rest of the gang making an appearance and hopefully showing off some moves on tomorrow's episode.
Meanwhile, "Dancing with the Stars" season 21 Week 3 will also send another couple packing. According to CommDigiNews, the pairs that are on the brink of going home include Busey and Trebunskaya, Deen and van Amstel as well as Zolciak and Dovolani.
"Dancing with the Stars" season 21 Week 3 airs today, Sept. 28 and tomorrow, Sept. 29.
