'Dance Moms' news: Abby Lee Miller shows 100 lbs. weight loss in first photo from prison

Former "Dance Moms" coach Abby Lee Miller showcases her massive weight loss in first photo from prison ahead of her early release.

Lifetime's infamous dance instructor Miller gave her fans a look into her life in prison as she showed an almost unrecognizable, much thinner version of herself in an Instagram post on Sunday.

In the caption, the 51-year-old choreographer shows how she found new life behind bars.

Miller, who was imprisoned for fraud on July 12, 2017, began by admitting to her mistakes and trusting the wrong people. "I'm more than sorry for the mistakes I made," she said.

The reality star also clarified the rumors that she is getting special treatment at the Federal Correctional Complex in Victorville, California.

"My world flipped upside down when I had to enter prison. I did so with grace, the stories you read about me been a princess are untrue," she continued.

Miller added that she has made a lot of friends -- from inmates to staff -- and has attended various programs offered in the correctional, saying she is a "better person for this experience."

The dance coach, who was found guilty of bankruptcy fraud for trying to hide $775,000 of income from "Dance Moms" and several other projects, was initially sentenced to 366 days in prison.

However, according to a recent report from Deadline, Miller will be walking out much earlier on Feb. 20, and will spend some time at a halfway house in Van Nuys facility. If the report is true, Miller would be serving less than half of her original sentence.

In her post, Miller was careful not to confirm her early release, saying she is "feeling hopeful," but there is no actual date yet for her return to the outside world.

The reality show host ended her post in a positive note. "I am feeling great and ready to turn a new leaf," she added as she thanked all her supporters.

As for her new look, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Miller has lost almost 100 pounds since she entered prison, and has already requested for multiple surgeries to be performed once she is released -- these are tummy tuck, breast lift, and excess skin removal.

Back in April, Miller underwent gastric bypass surgery, which reduced her stomach by 80 percent a few months before she entered prison.
