Conor McGregor news: Multiple fighters calling Irish superstar out

Now that enough time has elapsed since the fight between the Irish Mixed Martial Arts superstar, Conor McGregor, and the undefeated boxing star Floyd Mayweather. It is understandable that fans and members of the press are now asking questions as to who McGregor fights next, as he is slated to return to the Octagon in the UFC.

In a report by the Daily Star, McGregor aims to defend the two titles that he had previously earned, for which he was the first fighter in history to accomplish such a thing. Now, multiple fighters are calling McGregor out, such as Nate Diaz. This fight with Diaz will spark a highly anticipated trilogy, since the fighters are now at one win a piece. However, the most logical fight as of the moment would be for McGregor to face the winner of Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee.

McGregor has hinted that he could still be ready to fight even before the year ends, which means that fans of the fight game would not have to wait that long. According to MMA Fighting, Lee stated with confidence that he would give McGregor a "title shot," since Lee is treating his interim championship bout with Ferguson as the real thing.

Lee further stated, "He's a small dude, too, he's 145. He was getting out-wrestled by a dude who's 40 years old and a boxer." Another fighter who is calling McGregor out is the current featherweight champion, Max Halloway, who thinks that McGregor is just holding out on holding the belts for as long as he can. According to Flocombat, Halloway has had an impressive run towards attaining his championship, and definitely earned it to face McGregor.

There is definitely no rush for McGregor at this point to make a decision to fight once more, especially after the money that he had earned from fighting Mayweather. According to the Daily Mail, McGregor was able to go home with at least $100 million dollars.
