Fans of the turn-based strategy PC video game "Civilization VI" are looking forward to its first major expansion "Rise and Fall." Firaxis Games teased gamers with a new trailer providing more details about the upcoming new features for the title.

The expansion pack is scheduled to be released on Feb. 8, and gamers already have a clear image of what to expect. "In this upcoming expansion for Sid Meier's Civilization VI, the stakes are higher than ever. Inspire the loyalty of your people as you lead them into a golden age and hold fast when confronted with dark ages. In Civilization VI Rise and Fall you become a leader for the ages," Firaxis Games states.

The "Rise and Fall" expansion adds new contents to the title including the Dark Ages, Governors, Emergencies, and a Loyalty System. The Dark Ages is the counterpart of the Golden Ages that allows players to enter a time of deteriorating joy among citizens that may result to revolts. Decision making plays a big role in this new feature to either lead your empire to greatness or downfall. The Dark Ages will also test the gamer's ability to lead by choosing what factor he or she wants to prioritize.

Gamers are also excited for the new unit Governor to be added in the game. The Governor expands customization and specialization of cities. The Emergencies system is also coming to introduce a new cooperation content. In times of attacks, temporary teams are formed by non-allies of victim civilizations and can take a variety of quests.

The Loyalty System feature was commended by a number of gamers and video game critics. With the Loyalty System active, the leader is tasked to generate strong momentum of loyalty among the citizens for the sake of the entire city's borders and resources. Low loyalty means falling out with citizens turning away from their leader and taking matters into their own hands. Gamers and experts agree that the Loyalty System brings more challenges to the video game.
