Christians to join climate change march

Christians will be taking part in the Campaign Against Climate Change march in London on 1 December.

The march starts at the US embassy and will head to the Houses of Parliament.

One of the issues being highlighted by the march is the warming of the Arctic.

Christian Ecology Link and Operation Noah are encouraging Christians to take part.

They will be joining together ahead of the start of the march for an ecumenical worship service.

The service takes place at Grosvenor Chapel at 11am and will be led by the Reverend Chris Polhill, author of "A Heart for Creation Worship Resources and Reflections on the Environment".

Catholic journalist and CEL supporter Ellen Teague will speak at the service.

CEL said the service would be an opportunity to "pray for sense and hope amid the madness".
