Christian mayor for Llandrindod Wells

The Christian Party in Wales has become the first faith-based political party to win a mayoral election.

Cllr Jeff Green, leader of the Christian Party in Wales, has just started his first full term on Llandrindod Wells Town Council after being elected as mayor in the last session.

He is keen to see the development of tourism in the area, and to utilise the town's best assets, such as the lake, where boating and a popular restaurant are available to visitors.

He also wants to make sure people living within driving distance of Llandrindod Wells know about the town's existence and everything it has to offer.

In an address, Cllr Green said the town needed to have a bigger vision for what it could accomplish.

"We need goals and objectives so we can measure our progress," he said.

"It will make us more effective. With five year goals, each new Chairman will keep us on track and help us achieve those goals. We need to think bigger."
