The gridiron may be becoming too hot for some players of the Chicago Bears, as numerous draft and trade rumors are surfacing regarding the members of the National Football League (NFL).
One such standout rumor is for offensive tackle Bradley Sowell. The player is arguably a versatile guard and tackle, perhaps more so than Tom Compton, which should be enough to have him stay at the team for now. The Bears also needing a strong offensive line could prove to be one of the reasons for Sowell to stay since he can be quite efficient in breaking the opposing team's line or tackling running backs.
In that regard, a replacement for Sowell as both a defensive and offensive unit can be difficult. On the other hand, there might be a lot of free offensive drafts that might be able to replace Sowell since keeping him in Bears could prove to be more expensive than anticipated. The team apparently acquired Sowell during the NFL draft when the supply and demand were both low.
This means that depending on Sowell's affordability, the Bears might ultimately have to replace him with a more ready and less expensive option from the NFL drafts.
Meanwhile, the Bears could also be settling for a single Quarterback in the form of Mitch Trubisky. This is because despite Trubisky's status as a rookie member of the team, he has been made as the team's franchise Quarterback. Essentially, he is the leader of the team since he will be directing the team's offensive play and will be initially responsible for getting the ball across the field.
Trubisky is proven to be quite a workaholic, being the first and last player in the field every practice session in the NFL, and he is certainly aiming for a strong start this year. This means that introducing a backup for him might prove troublesome for the Quarterback's career and morale since Trubisky's motivation might decrease.
