There's been a lot of speculation as to what the next installment of the "Captain America" film series will be called, and directors Joe and Anthony Russo only had hints for the superhero's fans to work on. They did say that it will reflect what's to come.

In a recent interview, Joe Russo told Crave Online, "If you've been talking to Kevin [Feige, President of Marvel Studios] the title has been in place probably for ten years in his brain. It's all part of the road map that he's laid out, and it's all part of the bigger plan."

While the title "Civil War" has been guessed – an event in Marvel comics history when the Superhero Registration Act is legislated – it was neither confirmed nor denied by the brothers.

What Joe did confirm was their favorite cinematic technique of putting incongruous elements together to create the film. He explained in another interview, "Part of our creative process has always been finding, like, incongruous elements to put together and see what—and figure out a way to marry them—and see what that does."

According to the directors, Feige has a clear vision about the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise, and while each movie is independent, they are also intrinsically interconnected which builds up on the next film. In Captain America, the producer has a big idea at its core that the directors need to reach, but how they get there is up to them.

"We've always found that the best approach to filmmaking is from your own point of view," Joe said. "Whatever your taste is, that's what you should put into you movie."

The brothers have already proven in the first two "Captain America" films that they can, indeed, get to the heart of the story using their preferred cinematic techniques, which is why fans are now eager to find out what's next for Steve Rogers and his superhero alter-ego.

While there's no confirmed title for "Captain America 3" just yet, fans can expect more action-packed scenes where their beloved characters will be placed in heart-stopping situations.

Anthony said, speaking about Winter Solder, "And you know, some of the finest action sequences in the movie for us are, these long sequences without a lot of dialogue."

"Captain America 3" is set to be released on May 6, 2016.
