'Call of Duty: WWII' encounters problems during launch week

It looks like a video game is encountering some hiccups.

"Call of Duty: WWII" was supposed to help video game publisher Activision bring them to the forefront but unfortunately, the game has been fraught with errors and issues with its servers. All through the week of its release and especially this weekend, the video game failed to work without any glitches.

The issues included players in competitive multiplayer and co-op mode getting booted out of the game. The developers of "Call of Duty: WWII" has since addressed the issue with connectivity and posted an official update to explain what was going on and how they were going to resolve it, stating, "While our previous Game Update which released early Friday solved several critical needs, unfortunately it also had an adverse effect on server performance."

They added that overall, the game was stable, but noted that they knew that migrations and other factors make for inconsistent gameplay experiences.

Their plan was to deploy a patch across all consoles on a global scale that would hopefully fix the issue at hand, and that they would monitor how it would go in the next few hours.

It may look like that Activision is doing well in terms of how they are marketing the game and their development team's decision to have the video game go back to basics has helped it sell even more than last year's "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." However, for a lot of its ardent fans, an entire week of the game not working could make them lose interest in the game franchise and might affect its future releases.

The events of the past week could possibly make Activision rethink their plans for "Call of Duty: WWII."The game may seem polished and ready, but launching it on massive global scale might be a factor behind the issues that it encountered.

An update from their Twitter account stated that they are seeing stability in the game and will reinforce the patches for everyone.
