Brooke Burke-Charvet, formerly a co-host on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" was involved in a car accident this morning on Las Virgenes Road in Calabasas, Calif.

The television personality drove her Maserati through a chain-link fence to avoid oncoming traffic, a source told E! News.

LAPD responding officers performed a field sobriety test on the scene, which Burke passed. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, and Burke was not injured. She tweeted after the incident: "Rough morning. Accident on my wAy 2 work. Tons of cops & of course photogs, TMZ will have fun with this one. Poor Mazeratti [sic]..yes I was sober."

A representative for Burke told E! News that her client was en route to the set of ABC Family's "Melissa & Joey," a sitcom starring former child stars Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence. Both actors have both appeared on DWTS-- Melissa in Season 9, and Joey in Season 3. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Burke will be playing Joey's ex-girlfriend, Felicia,  who causes tension in his relationship with Melissa.

Burke was unceremoniously fired in February from DWTS, telling Good Morning America that she found out "just several weeks before the premiere." Brooke replaced co-host Samantha Harris in 2010, working seasons 10-17 alongside Tom Bergeron on the dance competition reality show. She tweeted on Feb. 21: "weird day....Shocking pre-season elimination #DWTS...ME. @Tom_Bergeron didn't even read my name. I won't be returning to the show this season."

Soon afterwards, ABC announced that popular sports journalist Erin Andrews would be joining Tom as co-host for Season 18. "We can confirm that Brooke Burke-Charvet will not be joining us next season," the network announced. "She's been a wonderful part of the 'Dancing With the Stars' family since her triumphant win in season seven and will unquestionably be missed by our entire team. We'd like to thank Brooke for her years of great service."

"Melissa & Joey" airs Wednesdays at 8/7 CT on ABC Family.
