Bristol Palin slams Miley Cyrus for mocking Christian conservatives, calls her 'fake'

Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, could not help but shake her head after reading about pop star Miley Cyrus' tirade against Christian conservatives for believing in "fairy tales" found in the Bible.

In the cover story for Paper Magazine, Cyrus claimed to be the "least judgmental person ever," but she did have strong words against "insane" Christian conservatives, saying those who oppose gay marriage "shouldn't be allowed to make laws."

"Is it just me or does it seem more than a little fake that someone claiming to be accepting of everyone and everything would spew such judgment towards her own parents and their deeply held religious beliefs?" Palin wrote in her Patheos blog.

Cyrus also posed nude for the same magazine, but Palin said that it was the rebellious pop star's comments that really shocked her.

"While her nude photo shoot has attracted the attention of many, it is her hilarious tirade about tolerance that turned my head," she admitted.

Cyrus was raised in a Christian home and was baptised in a Southern Baptist Church. When she was just starting her career, Cyrus clung to her Christian faith and even credits it as her greatest source of strength.

However, over the years, the pop star has drastically changed her views and now considers the story of Noah's Ark as a "fairy tale," saying that people should learn how to outgrow it the same way they did to Santa Claus and the tooth fairy.

Palin for one is not standing up for Cyrus' disrespectful rants and said: "She wants everyone else to let her be 'free to be Miley,' but seems unwilling to offer the same respect to her parents and those who wish to live out their Christian faith."

"Thanks for giving us the best example of what 'tolerance' looks like in Hollywood: it looks a lot like contempt," she added.
