Bones Season 10 spoilers: Booth survives shooting but what will happen?

In the Season 9 finale, Booth nearly died from a shootout and discovered that someone from the government is setting him up. Booth is charged with murder, which leads to the question, where will Booth and Brennan go from here?

A few spoilers have already leaked for Season 10. Even the show's executive producers Jonathan Collier and Stephan Nathan gave not-so subtle hints as to what is expected when the show returns this fall.

The Season 10 will start three months after the Season 9 final episode. Booth survived his gunshot wounds, but only to wake up knowing that he's lost everything career-wise. Booth awaits trial for the murder of FBI agents and remains in jail. Booth and Brennan knew he was being set up.

Booth will not only have problems with the law, but he will experience psychological problems too. Collier told Screenfad that "Booth will be in a terribly difficult situation and he has to face tremendous legal and career problems. He's been charged with a capital crime, and the case against him appears to be rock solid, he also has to deal with the burden of being vilified by the FBI — an organization which he's served with honor and integrity for years."

Meanwhile, Hodgins, a Jeffersonian staff found proof that the conspiracies exist and Nathan hinted that the conspiracies will be at the forefront of the Season 10 storyline. Emily Deschanel dished to E!: "I don't want to say it's a conspiracy theory -- because it may not be a theory. There really may be conspiracies happening against Booth and Brennan and then possibly everyone at the Jeffersonian."

Booth will do a lot of soul searching this season as he can no longer trust the people he trusted before. Booth and Brennen will be stronger than ever as they face all problems together this season. As for the Jeffersonians, they will stick with Booth and Brennen, but there will be changes unfolding along the way.

The very interesting "Bones" Season 10 will return on FOX this fall.
