BlackBerry already handed out invitations to its event scheduled on Sept. 24. Three events will take place (almost) simultaneously in Toronto, London, and Dubai, and the BlackBerry Passport is expected to be released.

The brand's blog says, "On September 24, all eyes will be on BlackBerry as we host exclusive, invite-only events in Toronto, London and Dubai to show off... well I guess you'll have to wait and see. The Inside BlackBerry team will be there, along with an exclusive list of media and industry guests, to bring you all the action."

It's actually no secret that the company will be launching its newest device during the event – the BlackBerry Passport, which features a square 1440 x 1440-pixel, a 4.5-inch screen, an innovative touch-enabled keyboard, four microphones, and stereo speakers. It also boasts a 3450mAh battery that provides a lot of juice to support all its functions, and it comes in either black or white.

Some may find the shape quite unconventional, but the company aims to enhance productivity and better usability in the workplace.

For instance, the company had featured the device showing an image of a chest x-ray to demonstrate the advantage of a larger viewing screen for working on medical imagery, documents, technical schematics, spreadsheets, and the like.

The blog says, "The BlackBerry Passport is purpose built with these situations in mind and more. With an innovative touch-enabled keyboard that allows you to communicate clearly and precisely, a battery large enough to power through your day, and the apps to get serious work done – the Passport is built for professionals like you and me."
