Ben Seewald challenges Christians to know the God they worship

Ben Seewald asks Christians: Who do you worship? Facebook/Duggar Family Official

Who do you worship?

This was the question posed by 19 Kids and Counting star Ben Seewald, wife of Jessa Duggar on his Facebook page as he challenged Christians to know the God they worship.

"Many call themselves Christians. They claim to worship 'God.' The question is, which God? Do you worship the God of the Bible? Or a god of your own imagination?" he asked.

The deeply religious husband of Jessa expressed concern that some Christians worship a God they do not even know, and that they simply worship love instead of a God who is full of love.

Despite His immeasurable love, God is also incredibly Holy and that is why He flooded the whole earth and executed His justice against sin.

His wrath against sin was so terrible that His only begotten Son had to die on the cross just to save mankind, Seewald explained.

"Do you worship the God that is so Holy and Just that the only way He could forgive unworthy sinners was for His wrath against sin to crush His only begotten Son as their substitute?" he asked.

He added that it is even "beyond our comprehension" how God can be "three and yet one" - the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Seewald then went on to elaborate on the different facets of God - He is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable. He is also full of wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth. "Praise God for all His attributes," said Seewald. "He is the Beautiful One, and yet His wrath against sin would cause Mt. Everest to crumble to dust and the oceans evaporate in an instant."

He urged Christians to read up on the Scriptures to know God more. "Make sure you worship the true God and not some idol of your own imagination. Learn of Him: He reveals Himself in the Bible," he said.
