'Avengers: Infinity War' spoilers: Trailer confirms Loki's betrayal, reveals location of last Infinity Stone?

The highly anticipated "Avengers: Infinity War" trailer is finally here and it brings answers to some of the lingering questions fans have in their minds. Not only does it confirm a popular "Thor: Ragnarok" fan theory but it pretty much reveals the location of the last Infinity Stone, too.

In last month's "Thor: Ragnarok," Thor (Chris Hemsworth) sends his brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) into Odin's (Anthony Hopkins) vault to retrieve the skull of Surtur (Clancy Brown) and resurrect the demon by using the Eternal Flame. But before doing his task, he spent a good few seconds staring at one of his father's treasures, the Tesseract aka the Space Stone. Before the viewers see what he does next, the scene cuts, leaving fans divided on whether or not he took the dangerous artifact behind his brother's back.

Now, the debate can finally be settled. The "Avengers: Infinity War" answers that matter with a single shot of Loki outstretching his arm with the mystical cube sitting in his palm. But that is not all. He appears to be offering it to someone. One theory is that he may be offering it to Thanos in exchange for his life after their ship crosses path with the Mad Titan's during the "Ragnarok" post-credit scene.

Meanwhile, the first footage also seems to confirm that the Soul Stone is hidden in Wakanda. This makes sense for a few reasons.

For one, Cinema Blend notes that one big action scene takes place in T'Challa's (Chadwick Boseman) home turf. In the trailer, we see him lead his army of Wakandan soldiers alongside Avengers Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) among others. There is no other reason for the heavy hitters to assemble than defending something, which could very well be the Soul Stone. After all, "Black Panther" is the final movie coming out before "Infinity War." Having the last Infinity Stone at their disposal also explains why the African nation is very technologically advanced.

One way or another, it will not be long until the gem debuts on screen. If it does not appear in "Black Panther" on Feb. 16, 2018, then the Soul Stone's location might be revealed three months later, on May 4. Check out the latter's trailer below.
