Asus has already added a Laser variant to its ZenFone 3 flagship series. However, although the ZenFone 3 Laser has already been unveiled, it is only released to a handful of regions. Speculations suggest that the new iteration may have a global launch soon as the tech maker releases a new showcase video of the device.

Asus has published a new showcase trailer for the main features and strengths of the ZenFone 3 Laser. Although the details presented in the trailer are already the expected features for the Laser variant, it does give a hint on new information – fans of the ZenFone 3 Laser may expect a global release soon. This is good news for those waiting for the ZenFone 3 series to come to their markets. When Asus unveiled the ZenFone 3 lineup additions, both the ZenFone 3 Laser and ZenFone 3 Max are confirmed to launch as region-exclusive devices.

Having a global launch for the ZenFone 3 Laser is already expected, though. When Asus launched the series additions to the previous ZenFone 2 flagships, some of the variants like the Laser and Selfie editions have also started as region-exclusive releases. However, Asus decided to launch the entire ZenFone 2 lineup in global markets.

This means that once the ZenFone 3 series rolls out globally, western fans can get the ZenFone 3 Laser and the other variants as unlocked versions.

The ZenFone 3 lineup originally consisted of one base model, plus the ZenFone 3 Deluxe and Ultra editions, debuting at the Computex 2016. Asus then added two new iterations, the ZenFone 3 Laser and the ZenFone 3 Max, in a press launch in Asia. Having similar details to the previous Laser variant for the ZenFone 2, the ZenFone 3 Laser's main features are its 13MP main camera, and an ultra-fast 0.03s laser autofocus that is able to capture up to 52MP images.
