Much like how Asus expanded the ZenFone 2 lineup, rumors say that there will be additional ZenFone 3 iterations to come out soon.
According to Vine Report, while Asus has already announced the ZenFone 3 Deluxe with a Snapdragon 820 processor, the version is reportedly to be released only on some markets soon. Other regions will reportedly get other iterations instead.
Speculations suggest that Asus will be releasing some new iterations in the ZenFone 3 lineup, including new ZenFone 3 Deluxe versions. Reportedly, there will be special versions with higher specs, particularly a new Snapdragon 823 variant. Qualcomm has yet to officially announce the new chipset, though it is said to have major improvements over the current-gen premium Snapdragon 820 processor.
Other purported specs of the new ZenFone 3 Deluxe SD 823 variant include a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD resolution, 6GB of RAM, and 256GB onboard storage. The storage itself will still be expandable for up to 128 GB, similar to the already-announced Deluxe version. As a top-tier addition, the new iteration is also expected to come out with a fingerprint scanner, and may run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right out of the box.
Meanwhile, GSM Arena reports that aside from an SD 823 version, a supposed leak also points to a Snapdragon 821 version for the ZenFone 3 Deluxe. Reportedly, the new chipset is just a bit powerful than the one in the current lineup, since the SD 821 processor is said to be only an overclocked SD 820 chipset. The rest of the specs sheet and feature are expected to remain the same.
Asus has yet to confirm on the rumors, though an expansion on the ZenFone 3 lineup is certainly possible. The previous-gen series, the ZenFone 2, also has a number of other iterations in the lineup other than the base model ZenFone 2 and ZenFone 2 Deluxe.
