Tuesday's game is a must-win for Arsenal, where as for the Hammers, safety from relegation is almost guaranteed now, and their main hope in this game might be simply denting their London rival's top 4 hopes.

Arsenal may have gotten through to the FA Cup Final with a last gasp equalizer against Wigan, and ultimate win on penalties, however, their Premier League season is quickly falling away from them.
They have dropped out of the top 4 with Everton taking their spot in fourth place. Both Everton and Arsenal have played 33 games so far, but Everton are two points ahead with 66 points compared to Arsenal's 64.
Most believe Arsenal will have to win out the remainder of their season if they are to claim a top 4 spot. However, their recent form suggests that may be easier said than done.
West Ham meanwhile have pushed on since their tough period over Christmas and the New Year. They have surged up the table from the bottom three to 11<sup>th, and now have 37 points from their 33 games so far.
Manager Sam Allardyce has long believed that his team would need 38+ points to stay up this season. They are now just one point from that goal, but looking at the table – with Sunderland on just 25 points from 32 games, Cardiff on 29 points from 34 games, and Fulham on 30 points from 34 games – it would appear that even with 37 points West Ham will be safe this season.
The pressure is very much on the Gunners in today's game, and they simply cannot afford to drop any points. West Ham meanwhile will love it if they can block the Gunners' efforts, and frustrate them. If the Hammers can get to midway through the second half still on level terms, the Gunners will have to push on, which could leave gaps at the back for West Ham to exploit and potentially steal all three points.
