After the crossover episode, "Crisis on Earth-X," the Arrowverse is now gearing up for its midseason finale. The CW recently revealed what is going to happen in "Arrow" season 6 episode 9, titled "Irreconcilable Differences," and it does not look good.

In the synopsis of the superhero television series' midseason finale, Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) and Cayden James (guest star Michael Emerson) are going to take Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) as their hostage. The two will be exchanging the Deputy Mayor of Star City's life for a weapon of mass destruction.

Hence, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and the rest of the Team Green Arrow will be thinking of a way to save Lance. However, the group has to plan for something that will also make their city safe, while saving Lance in "Arrow" season 6 episode 9.

In the "Irreconcilable Differences" trailer, Oliver will be facing a new problem when he returns to Star City. After his wedding with Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), and celebration with friends and family, Lance welcomes the Green Arrow with a bad news.

"We have a problem. There's a witness who is willing to testify that you are the Green Arrow," he tells Oliver. In "Arrow" season 6 episode 9, Amell's character will be asking who will testify against him, to which the mayor replies with, "someone from the team."

It has been known that Oliver is being charged with federal accusations in connection with his being Green Arrow. From the looks of it, someone is going to betray Oliver and it makes him paranoid to think who it is.

As he tells his team about it, they will end up on the street to get the job done. However, it seems like he would not be getting all the support he used to have as he will be wondering where everyone goes in "Irreconcilable Differences."

"Arrow" season 6 episode 9, titled "Irreconcilable Differences," will air on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
