Google is reportedly already coming out with the new Android Nougat platform. Speculations suggest that since the new version includes improved updates, third-party makers like Samsung will most likely get the Android Nougat 7.0 update before the year ends.

Reports out of Korea mention that the new Android Nougat platform will go out to Samsung flagships as early as in 2-3 months' time after the rollout of the full version. In addition, one of the first flagships to receive the new update is said to be the Galaxy Note 7. In the launch of Samsung's newest flagship, Koh Dong-jin, president of Samsung Electronics' mobile communications division, stated that the tech giant is promising the Galaxy Note 7 to be constantly updated for its firmware and security. "It is very important for us to offer up-to-date information with the new OS, but what's more crucial is to build a stable and seamless platform for users," Koh said. Meanwhile, Koh also promised that the new updates will be stable. "That's why we are planning to do enough beta testing before any OS updates," the Samsung executive added.

According to speculations, one of the improved features for the Android Nougat platform is an overhaul for its updates. Reportedly, Nougat updates will immediately be pre-loaded for compatible handsets and will work in the background, rolling out a complete version once its download is complete. This means that updates will most likely roll out to a much wider range of handsets from the get-go, translating to Samsung and other third-party partners like mobile carriers to receive a complete Nougat update for their tweaking much faster than before.

Aside from Samsung, other tech makers like HTC have also announced that they will be updating to Android Nougat much earlier than expected. Meanwhile, it is said that LG will be the first one to offer Android Nougat right out of the box, with its new flagship the LG V20 scheduled to release next month.
