Google is currently applying finishing touches on the upcoming Android N platform. However, some devices have yet to receive the Android M update. The latest to get the current-gen Android 6.0 are LG's Spirit and Magna handsets.

According to Android Authority, LG has started rolling out the Android Marshmallow 6.0 version to the LG Magna in Greece. While the new update has just released for the model LG-H500F, the update is bound to also roll out for the global unlocked variant of the LG Magna, so users in Europe and other markets can expect an OTA notification soon.

Meanwhile, GSM Arena also adds that aside from the Magna, the LG Spirit has also started receiving an Android Marshmallow update notification. The release also reportedly started in Europe, particularly the Greek variant of the device, with model number H440N.

While users of both handsets have yet to receive on official Marshmallow update notification, they can check if the download is already available. Just like in previous major updates, manually checking out the Settings and About Device tabs will refresh the unit, and will automatically download the update if it is already available. Meanwhile, since it is expected that the release of Android Marshmallow to both devices is a global one, it may be on a staggered roll out, and it may take weeks before all of the units will be updated to Android Marshmallow.

The new Android Marshmallow update introduces a number of new features to capable devices, such as Google Now on Tap and Doze. In addition, the new 6.0 platform also tweaks apps permissions, so users can further customize their devices. The new update also rolls out an updated security patch for the period.

Continuous update to Android Marshmallow is expected since it is revealed that only about 10 percent of all capable devices are running Android 6.0 at the moment.
