Album number 15 for the Newsboys - 'Born Again'

Born Again, the highly anticipated new recording from Newsboys, has a new street date. Originally scheduled for a June 8 release, the project will now officially be available on July 13.

The band is currently finishing Born Again between their jam-packed travel schedule. Well-known for performing for their fans not only across the nation but the world, Newsboys are heading out of the country this week to headline shows in Canada and Australia.

With the release date officially set, the foursome - Michael Tait, Jeff Frankenstein, Duncan Phillips and Jody Davis - are embarking on a sure-to-be momentous year with Born Again, which was produced by The Write Brothers and Mark Heimermann (dcTalk, TobyMac, Michael W Smith). The songs were penned by Newsboys, The Write Brothers, Steve Taylor, as well as a new track by Audio Adrenaline's Mark Stuart.

There is no question Newsboys are truly rejuvenated with the new songs they've created as a band, and they are enjoying the amazing feedback about the brand new songs they've already been performing live.

The band is also already garnering success at radio with their two new singles. "Born Again" is #4 at CHR, while "I'll Be" is climbing up the AC charts this week to #28 on AC Indicator and #35 on AC Monitor.

This Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning band has achieved what few artists have in their lifetime. They have sold over 6.5 million units, garnered five Gold albums and 20 #1 hits, and are renown for their heart-pumping live shows.

Last year, when longtime members Jody Davis (guitar), keyboardist Jeff Frankenstein and drummer Duncan Phillips welcomed the vocal strengths, writing talents and boundless energy of former dc Talk member Michael Tait to the band, it was clearly a good reason for Newsboys to feel born again and share brand new songs with fans old and new. Born Again is newsboys' 15th studio project.
