6 Bible verses to help you face uncertainties in life

As human as we are, we all face uncertainties of various kinds, be it in family, in work, in ministry, or in pretty much any area of life. The good thing is that our God is faithful, and we can hold on to Him in times of doubt and insecurity.

God has given us much security in His Word. No matter what uncertainty we might have in life, we should realize that He knows what we don't know; He knows what to do when we don't; and He is always here for He will never leave us nor forsake us. Indeed, He is our most loving Abba Father who cares for us more than we actually care about ourselves!

Are you facing uncertainties right now? Here are some Bible verses to help you face them with confidence and security.

Psalm 4:7-8 – "You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe."

Psalm 23 – "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness [f]or His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; [f]or You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord [f]orever."

Deuteronomy 31:6 – "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."

John 14:27 (Jesus) – "I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid."

John 16:33 (Jesus) – "I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."

Matthew 6:31-34 (Jesus) – "So don't worry about these things, saying, 'What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?' These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today."
