3 good you can only experience by participating in the Body of Christ

The whole church is the Body of Christ. No single church could ever exist without acknowledging another, because all of us who believe in and follow the same Lord Jesus Christ will call us all to love one another in unity. It's such a wonderful thing to think of.

The Bible tells us just how good it is when churches unite together as one in Christ:

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore." (Psalm 133)

By this we should realize that coming together as one Body is a great thing.

Love the Body

We should all desire to see everyone in the Body of Christ united and growing in love for each other. One way we can do this is by joining Body gatherings with the intention to honor the Lord. The Lord Jesus Himself said,

"By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:35)

That said, I would like to encourage you to join such gatherings. Here are some good things joining will do for you:

1) It will open your eyes to the beauty of diversity

God is very creative, and His creativity can be seen in the diversity of gifts and abilities that He gave to each and every person following the Lord Jesus Christ.

When we choose to stay just inside our own home church, we will fail to see the unique and beautiful differences that each church has. Join in and see it for yourself!

2) It will open doors for new fellowships and Godly relationships

When we join gatherings in the Body of Christ, we should expect to see new faces and make new friends. Going out of the four walls of our home churches to enter the Vineyard allows us to meet other laborers in the harvest field.

Join gatherings where different churches are present, and try to make new connections. Who knows, God might set up new friendships that will bless you for a lifetime.

3) You'll experience God's love in a new way

Lastly, joining Body gatherings allow us to see God's love on display in a new way. We get to see it in the lives of other churches' members, workers, even ministers and pastors.

When we get to hear stories of how God touched the lives of other believers, we will experience God's love in ways we have never known.
