The 2017 Honda Ridgeline, much like its predecessor, is not a truck in the traditional sense of the word. However, this time around, Honda has decided to do away with the unconventional styling that the original Ridgeline possessed. Consequently, the new model does not have the peculiar front end or the polarising, flying-buttress C-Pillar design like the older version.

The 2017 Ridgeline retains its unibody design, and comes with a cutting edge trunk and bed architecture. The light duty truck supports front-wheel drive as well as all-wheel drive. Interestingly, traditional truck models are commonly equipped with a rear-wheel drive option.

Comparing the new version with the old, Limousine Release Date explains that the new model has a more chiseled exterior. As for the interior of the truck, one of the key updates has to do with the eight-inch infotainment system. The setup in the upcoming model responds faster, and supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The cabin inside is spacious, as was expected. 2017 Honda Vehiclesspeculates that the Ridgeline comes with a stylish interior that can accommodate five adults. The pickup truck is also supposedly perfectly suited for carrying out daily errands, and is capable of helping out with regular shopping activities and pickups. The rear seats can be folded up to make more room for bags and luggage, if any.

The figures related to the engine's performance stand at 262 lb-ft of torque and 280 hp. The engine's specs suggest a V6 model with a direct injection of 3.5 liters. The engine is connected to six-speed automatic transmission.

The release date for the new Ridgeline is rumoured to be sometime in the fall of this year. The basic model of the truck will be available at $30,000. Car Attraction reports that Honda will release at least seven grades of this vehicle, and the most equipped model will cost around $43,000.
